Connect your tracking in one copy-paste
Northstar does all the heavy lifting. Your only job is to tell your affiliate network where to send sale notifications — a single URL, pasted once. Here's how.
Step 1 — Generate your tracking link
In your dashboard, paste your raw affiliate link (the one
your network gave you). Northstar returns a clean tracking link like
go.thedataduel.com/yourname/nordvpn. Use that link everywhere —
your articles, your bio, your posts. Every click is logged automatically.
Step 2 — Copy your postback URL
Your dashboard shows a unique postback URL that looks like:
https://api.thedataduel.com/s2s/t/<network>Click Copy. That's the only thing you'll paste into your network.
Step 3 — Paste it into your affiliate network
Log into your affiliate network and find its postback / server-to-server setting. Paste your Northstar postback URL there and save. That's it — you're connected.

Don't see your network? Most affiliate platforms call this "Postback URL," "S2S tracking," or "Server Postback." If yours supports it, Northstar works with it. Email us and we'll help you find it.
Step 4 — Watch the sales roll in
When someone buys through your link, your network fires the sale to your postback URL. Northstar catches it, matches it to the click, and shows a green Converted mark on your dashboard — no cookies, no guesswork, no lost commissions.
✦ Why this beats normal tracking
Normal affiliate tracking relies on cookies in the buyer's browser — which get wiped by privacy settings and in-app browsers. Northstar tracks server-to-server, so the sale is recorded even when cookies are blocked. You get credit for the sales you actually drove.
